Alimony, spousal support, or maintenance is the payment of support from one party to another in order to keep the receiving party in the lifestyle that they were accustomed to during the course of their marriage.

An Overview of Voluntary Sterilization

There are various different methods of birth control available in the United States. One such method of birth control is voluntary sterilization. The process of sterilization is intended to be permanent in nature. In some instances sterilization may be reversed however reversal is not guaranteed once the sterilization process is completed. Sterilization may involve surgery and a hospital stay or may involve outpatient services.

Foster Parents

A foster parent is not required to own his or her own home in order to participate in the foster care program. The requirements for foster parenting differ from state to state.

Parental Liability for a Minor's Torts

A parent may be liable for a minor's torts. The parent may be found liable if the parent was negligent in their actions. The parent may be liable for an injury inflicted by the minor, if the injury was the natural and probable consequence of the parent's negligent act. The injury should be reasonably foreseeable due to the parent's negligence.
